Fall Foot Clan Tryouts

Naturally, Shredder showed up and held tryouts for the Foot Clan. It was all going so smoothly until the rad turtles with ‘tudes broke up the party and ate some pizza to celebrate. Partners in Kryme added to the surprise

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Screening and Foot Clan Tryouts in BK

Village Voice

In the fall of 2013, BBQ Films put out a recruitment call for ninja hooligan trainees to see if any New Yorkers had the moves to join Shredder’s evil army, the Foot Clan. The tickets sold out in less than a week.

Our try-outs revolved around a screening of the 90s favorite, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, in the secret lair of the Foot Clan — which we installed at Villain in Williamsburg. Our fully-equipped hideout included skate ramps, graffiti walls, vintage video games, pizza from Neopolitan Express, booze from Spring 44, Vinos Libres, and Brooklyn Brewery, multiple floors to explore, and an incredible dual-room screening experience.

The crowd went wild for Shredder’s introduction and his evil empire recruitment speech, but neither him nor his break-dancing ninjas could stop Raph, Leo, Donnie, and Mikey form crashing the party, rescuing Splinter, and busting out a few radical moves on the dance floor. The celebration ended with a surprise performance by Parnters in Kryme–the artist behind the original TMNT movie theme song, Turtle Power.
